The things he said made it clear he was willing to target my family, and I took that seriously — even if others pretended not to.
I brought everything to the youth football board, and they brushed it off like it was nothing. At the time, Janessa Fields was president of PJH, and she insisted he “passed a background check.” That didn’t line up with what the entire town already knew — he had a criminal history, and everyone knew it. It’s obvious something in that paperwork wasn’t handled honestly.
While all this was happening, I reached out to my former high school head coach. I laid out exactly what was going on and how Janessa was allowing people with serious criminal backgrounds to coach our kids. In the end, I stepped down from every position I held because it was clear that no matter how loudly I spoke, they weren’t interested in protecting the kids or doing the right thing
